Real name: Angeline Quinto Birthday: NOvember 26 singer. Actress. Starpower Grand Champion. dubbed as the country's next Female Pop Superstar.Angeline aspired to become a successful singer, at a very early age. She started joining several singing competitions in her town, but unfortunately, lost in most of them.Despite of the failures that she had and being unable to know her mother and being abandoned by her father for another family, she still pursued to achieve her dreams and continued to join singing competitions. Then, lady luck shined on Angeline, when she won 3 different competitions in just one night. Her grand mother was so proud when she won Php7,000 and she even cooked a delicious dinner for her grandmother. Angeline grew up listening to songs of Regine Velasquez and cites the songbird as the reason why she does music. Quinto credits Velasquez's singing and her song "What Kind Of Fool Am I" as influencing her to begin practicing vocal "runs" as a child, as well as helping her pursue a career as a musician. She also cites influences from American artists such as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Beyonce Knowles. In 2002, Angeline joined a prestigious singing competition on IBC 13 called, Star for a Night. She competed with aspiring singers then, Sarah Geronimo and Mark Bautista. In 2004, Angeline also became a finalist in MTB Teen Popstar when she tied with Sherilyn Flores for the title and where she competed with Jonalyn Viray. Angeline had her biggest break when she became part of ABS CBNS's prestigious singing competition Star Power: Sharon's Search for the next Female Pop Superstar where she emerged as the grand champion. Her debut self titled album topped the charts list and is considered one of the best-selling album of the first quarter of 2011, with the single "Patuloy ang Pangarap." Angeline also had a sold out first major solo concert, with Regine Velasquez being one of her special guests!
