Real Name: Jericho Vibar Rosales Birthday: September 22 Actor. Singer. Songwriter. Jericho was first discovered on the television program Eat Bulaga, "Mr.Pogi." He later signed on with the Kapamilya network and was seen in various programs including "Kaybol, Ang Bagong TV" in 1996. It was followed by his role as Buboy in "Esperanza." Then came his big break in "Pangako Sa 'Yo" with Kristine Hermosa. The series topped the ratings game during that time and it was also the birth of Jericho-Kristine tandem.His second team up with Kristine was "Sana'y wala nang Wakas." Afterwards, Jericho was then chosen by ABS-CBN bigwigs to portray the lead role in the TV adaptaion of a Fernando Poe Jr. movie "Ang Panday". He starred opposite Heart Evangelista. In 2005, Jericho pursued his other passion, music. He formed a band named Jeans and released their first album "Loose Fit" in 2005 where he wrote all 14 songs contained in the album. After coming back to showbiz, he started off with the serye Pangarap na Bituin with Sarah Geronimo, Rica Peralejo and Maja Salvador.He also teamed-up with Carmen Soo, a Malaysian actress, in the TV series "Kahit Isang Saglit" which was also shown in Malaysia.In 2009, he reunited with onscreen partner, Kristine Hermosa in the top rater "Dahil May Isang Ikaw." He also returned to the big screen, starring in films Pacquiao: The Movie and Baler. Jericho has earned his position in the industry, as one of the most bankable leading men, by earning acting awards left and right.Some of this most notable wins include: the 1998 and 2000 PMPC Star Awards Best Single Performance by a Lead Actor, both for his performances in the drama anthology, Maalala Mo Kaya (Episodes: Pasa and Pampang), and the 2007 and 2009 PMPC Star Awards for Movies Best Actor for his performance in Pacquiao: The Movie and Baler.Aside from acting, Jericho's passion for music has also reaped recognition, with his song "Pusong Ligaw," winning the 2010 Star Awards for Music Song of the Year. Recently, Jericho bagged his first international acting award, when he won the Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking Acting, in the Newport Beach FIlm Festival in California. The award was given to Jericho for his role as Victor, the FIlipino who allegedly created the destructive lovebug virus, in the international film Subject: I love you.
