"Dancefloor Sweetheart" Shaina began her acting career when she was cast, at the age of seven, in the Philippine drama series Lyra, She won the Most popular Child Actress Award in the 2002 Guillermo Mendoza Awards. Shaina also starred in Laurice Guillien's 2003 film Tanging Yaman, where she won a Best Child Actress award from the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards. She has also received an award-winning role in the box office film, Ang Tanging In and the Best Child Performer award from the Parangal ng Bayan in 1999.In 2010, she starred in her very first solo lead role in the afternoon soap opera Alyna. She is currently working on the upcoming OFW themed series, Doha with Jake Cuenca.
